MISSION STATEMENT

Vermilion Theater aims to

  • Produce multilingual versions of plays originally written in or translated into Chinese for both the Chinese diaspora (such as international students) as well as the non-Chinese-speaking audience to enjoy both a unique cultural experience and a new form of theater art;

  • Facilitate cross-cultural conversations, bridge the language barrier, and foster a sense of belonging for the AAPI community in the greater Boston area, with its impacts radiating along the east coast;

  • Amplify the voice of minority populations, including but not exclusive to racial, sexual, and gender minorities, using artistic expression to create a healing space for all.
